In 2023 I was invited by The Pokémon Company to attend the Pokémon World Championships in Yokohama, Japan. As part of this trip, select journalists and influencers had the honour to visit Creatures Inc, the company behind the Pokémon Trading Card Game (and part owner of the Pokémon Company).

I tackled this visit from a personal UGC (user generated content) style approach, allowing the video to feel more relatable than a pristine and polished production. This paid off incredibly well, hitting a total of 1.1 million views across all social media platforms.

Getting the chance to visit the home of the Pokémon Trading Card Game was an incredible honour and something I don’t take for granted. You could really see the passion from the producers and artists, and being able to get incredibly rare insight into something so beloved is something I’ll never forget.
